A New Vision for Montgomery, Alabama

As the capital city for the State of Alabama - Montgomery is rich in history. Known as the "Capital of the Confederacy" this city has not shied away from controversy. Montgomery is the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement in America; starting with the Bus Boycott the citizens of Montgomery embodied the spirit of courage and perseverance, and from this history Joshua Jah-Anayas was born.

Growing up in Montgomery gave Joshua Jah-Anayas an unique outlook on life. "There was always a fine line between equality and racism, but a wide margin between equity and opportunity" said Mr. Jah-Anayas. This experience launched a drive in Mr. Jah-Anayas to make relevant change in his hometown community.

Kings and Queens, Youth Program

The summer of 2015 was were it all started for the Jah-Anayas Group. The Kings and Queens youth program had their inaugural summer program in the Sheridan Heights community on the north side of Montgomery, AL.

The program was geared towards teaching the youth their history before transatlantic slave trade, basic finance, agriculture, area beautification, physical fitness, and crafting.

Politics is the way Forward

Change can be made by anyone who has the desire to institute that change. This was proven by first-time political candidate Marche' Johnson.
